Title: Prescription Opioid Users Needed for Study of Two Treatments for Prescription Opioid Use Disorder

What is the purpose of the study?
     Global use of prescription opioid has increased dramatically in recent years, and accidental deaths, harms and social costs associated with it have escalated in parallel. This study is to compare two standard of care treatments for people with prescription opioid use disorder. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two treatments for 24 weeks (6 months). Study visits including urine drug screening test will occur every other week. Participants will be compensated for their time.

     Individuals with: Prescription Opioid Use Disorder, Addiction, Opioid Agonist Therapy, Methadone, Suboxone

a mental health or
addiction problem:

What does the study involve?
     Number of contacts:  15 study visits
     Time period:  Around 28 weeks (24 week or 6-month treatment period)
     Length of contacts: 2-3 hour study visits on average
