Title: Psychosis Research Study

What is the purpose of the study?
     To identify the genetic basis for mitochondria dysfunction in schizophrenia and other psychiatric conditions, and association of that dysfunction with psychotic symptoms.

Who is needed?
     Individuals with: 18 years of age or older, recent (within 1 week) psychotic episode, antipsychotic use for LESS than 3 months
     Individuals without
a mental health or
addiction problem:

What does the study involve?
     Number of contacts:  Up to 5 visits, once per year
     Time period:  5 years
     Length of contacts: Approx. 4 hours
