Title: Participants Needed for Paid Anxiety Study

What is the purpose of the study?
     We are conducting a brain imaging study to investigate social anxiety disorder. This study involves questionnaires, paper and computer cognitive tests, 2 brain scans and blood draws. Your participation will help us learn more about the brain biology of social anxiety disorder and guide development of new treatment options.

Who is needed?
     Individuals with: Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)
     Individuals without
a mental health or
addiction problem: 

No

     Age range: 18 - 40
     Gender: All
     Ethnicity: Any
     Other:



What does the study involve?
     Number of contacts:  (1) phone call, up to (4) visits, email communication
     Time period:  2 - 4 weeks; depends on scanner availability
     Length of contacts: Phone call (15 min); Screening visit (~4 hours); MRI scan (~2 hours); Neurocognitive testing (~1.5 hours); PET scan (~3 hours); Total visit time (~11 hours)
